Foglight® for VMware Horizon View monitors your virtual desktop environment, providing performance metrics, alarms, and dashboards to help you better manage that environment—from user desktops to related infrastructure.
Note: Foglight for VMware Horizon View requires Foglight for VMware 5.8.0 to be installed and enabled on the same Foglight Management Server.

After upgrading Foglight for VMware Horizon View to version 5.6.10, when selecting the Desktops tile, no information is displayed for Unmanaged machines and Terminal Server Hosts. This is due to the default properties defined for the corresponding Infrastructure agent. Workaround: See the Upgrade and Compatibility section. |

Foglight for VMware Horizon View 5.8.0 requires Management Server version 5.9.5, or Foglight Evolve 9.0.

To upgrade a VMware Horizon View agent:
The Infrastructure agents now start to collect CPU, disk, memory, and network metrics from the monitored hosts and the VMware View Environment dashboard will display this information correctly.
Foglight for VMware Horizon View supports VMware View 5.x, 6.x, and 7.x.

Important: It is recommended to create the related VMware Performance Agent before creating the VMware Horizon View Agent manually or using the Discovery Wizard.

Foglight includes a licensing capability that restricts access to those features that are defined in the license. Any Management Server installation requires a license that grants access to server-specific parts of the browser interface and the features associated with them. Foglight cartridges are also license-protected. While some cartridges are covered by the base Foglight license (such as Foglight Agent Manager cartridges and Foglight for Infrastructure), others may require an additional license. Foglight for VMware Horizon View is covered by the Foglight Evolve Monitor and Operate license and Foglight for Virtualization, Enterprise Edition license.
