Foglight™ for Microsoft .NET gives you the tools you need to monitor the availability and performance of your Microsoft .NET applications.
These Release Notes cover the resolved issues, known issues, workarounds, and other important information about the 5.9.10 release of Foglight for Microsoft .NET. Review all sections before starting the installation.

The following is a list of issues addressed and enhancements implemented in this release.
|FAPM-1554||Fixed the issue where the system._javaee_applications.scripts.getserverrequestsexceptionalexitcount function threw a NullReferenceException.|
|FAPM-1514||Fixed the issue where the deployment of remote counter agent on an external Foglight Agent Manager was failed.|
|FAPM-1459||Trace agent was missing seldom in the Collect Traces dialog box.|
|FAPM-1440||If user set <level value="DEBUG3"/> in the log4net.xml file, sometimes deadlock was detected after starting up IIS.|
|FAPM-1338||Fixed the issue where the counter agent failed to collect data metrics on Windows Server 2016.|
The following is a list of issues known to exist at the time of this release.
The .NET Transaction agent does not support Microsoft Windows 2003 and Windows XP in the 5.9.10 release of Foglight for Microsoft .NET.
|FAPM-1555||Fails to add SeparationRules in the rocording.config file, if the value of Separation Parameters is empty.|
|FAPM-1445||The integration is failed by accident when performing a standalone application and Windows service instrumentation.|
|The "UndeclaredThrowableException" error occurs when deactivating/activating Nexus if the debug level is set to 2, or when a new Nexus cartridge gets installed over a Nexus running on the debug level 1.|
Support FIPS-enabled Web sites.
The latest version of Foglight for Microsoft .NET is version 5.9.10. Upgrades from version 5.9.4 and later are supported.

Foglight for Microsoft .NET 5.9.10 accepts connections from .NET agents versions 5.9.9.x, 5.9.8.x, 5.9.7.x, 5.9.6.x, 5.9.5, 5.9.4.x, 5.9.3.x, and 5.9.2. Earlier versions of the .NET agent, including 5.9.1, are not supported.

Foglight for Microsoft .NET must be deployed on a Foglight Management Server version 5.6.7 or later, and to a Foglight Agent Manager version 188.8.131.52 or later. For information about system requirements for this release, see the Foglight for Microsoft .NET Installation and Configuration Guide.

Foglight includes a licensing capability that restricts access to those features that are defined in the license. Any Management Server installation requires a license that grants access to server-specific parts of the browser interface and the features associated with them. Foglight cartridges are also license-protected. While some cartridges are covered by the base Foglight license (such as Foglight Agent Manager cartridges and the Cartridge for Infrastructure), others may require an additional license.

Important: If you are using the embedded Foglight Agent Manager, before you begin the installation, you must adjust certain Agent Manager settings to ensure proper Nexus performance. Read the section "Before You Begin the Installation Process" in the Foglight for Microsoft .NET Installation and Configuration Guide and complete the procedure.
Foglight for Microsoft .NET is distributed as a .car file: ApplicationServers-DotNET-5_9_10.car. Use the Administration > Cartridges > Cartridge Inventory dashboard to install the cartridge. For full installation instructions, refer to the topic "Installing Foglight Cartridges" in the Foglight Administration and Configuration Help.
